"And so it is...just like you said it would be. Life goes easy on me...most of the time..."
The Blowers Daughter by Damien Rice
It's been quite the time the past couple of weeks. After Halloween Pub weekend came Halifax weekend. I made the trip with my mom for my cousin's baby shower. Spent A LOT of family time but did get a nice break when I went out with Dave and Jenn...mmm fajitas. Came home on Sunday feeling not even a bit rested. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday...back to work and then Wednesday afternoon I travelled to Moncton. I needed this mini break. I went out with my cousin Andrew and his friends and girlfriend--that was fun but I missed my home town posse. Stayed at Andrew's new pad until Saturday when I moved in to the Delta Beausejour on Main Street with Kellyanne, Karey and Carolyn. Did a lot of shopping for work clothes and was surprisingly successful. Saw both grandparents and some aunties. Saturday night we made an attempt to go out...it was alright...we definetly had a lot more fun at the hotel room. Sunday morning we were up early for our breakfast in bed room service....more shopping and eating and then home.
Friday I saw Bridget Jones' 2 The Edge of Reason...while not as good as the first...still quite funny. I strive to be Bridget in life. Then last night I realized...in a lot of ways...I am Bridget. I like to drink, occasionally smoke, party...be who I want. But inside I know that i am now one of those damned singletons. I have the occasional good romp but still at the end of the day pretty much alone. It's sad...but smiling continues...through friends and family...smile :)
Just a more personal note....My family lost our beloved Uncle Isadore this morning--DoDo to all the kids...he will be missed.
