Sheryl Crow once said A Change Will Do You Good...I think she's wrong.

Not that I don't love Dj...he's great. But look at the hate in Lenny's eyes. He's thinking right now...I hate Touch My Teddy Ruxpin and all her answering the beer questions. He's plotting on ways to kill me.
I miss those days at trivia. It was so fun when Matt and Lenny would banter...then on Lenny's last night....almost one year ago, Lenny got drunk and talked about how we should all steal the old CFCY big red radio. It was great. I miss ya guys....

"Is it lonely up there....you know, on your pedestool?"

Well another weekend gone by. Yesterday you may have seen me in such parades as the Christmas Parade down the avenue. I had a blast thanks to the "warm up" session. Spent last night with the quaint group of Tasha, Brent, Tyler and Taryn. Followed by Myrons and then no sleep at Tyler's. I had to work at 5am today...certainly showed up a half hour late. Oh well.

Christmas shopping is progressing nicely...just a couple more family gifts and the small tokens of friendship for the crowd and it'll be handled. It feels closer than it actually is. It's not even December but it feels like Christmas is next week.

What about New Years Eve? Who's got the agenda?

"How do you measure the life of a woman and a man?"

Just saw Rent and damnit...I loved it. I did see the broadway production in August in New York City and that was great. I have been listening to the soundtrack since early high school and now...the movie. Just a warning to die hard fans...there's a couple of songs missing (Contact and Halloween) and they don't sing the answering machine messages but scenes like La Vie Boheme, Over the Moon and I'll Cover You Reprise make the entire film SOOOOO worth seeing.

Surgery is now 22 days away. I'm anxious to get there. The last day at Sobeys and Sunglass Hut is really my excitement. I know I'm gonna be so incredibly bored but the thought of a painless knee is sooo good right now. I've been DREAMING of going for a run...and even playing volleyball. This summer boys and girls....beach volleyball and lots of it!

Anywho...off to listen to good ol' Rent...I'll go see it again with anyone who wants to go but be forewarned...I sing :)

Did anyone see Oprah on Friday!? The "POPE-RAH" as I've heard she is liking to be called now adays did a piece on how kids all over the country are DYING from a little game she liked to call the pass out game. Flashback: Party at Katie Stewart's...making Jeff MacDonald pass out and he was out longer than we'd ever seen before....WE COULD HAVE KILLED EACH OTHER!

"I can't control my destiny, I trust my soul, my only goal is just to live"

I'm sitting here pondering life. Big changes are coming to a lot of people I know, including myself. I know what I want from life now and hope to achieve it sooner rather than later. Which brings me to my next thought...we're all chasing different things right now but are we actually going to get them? I know I've said I know what I want multiple times and never gone through with them. Life brings unexpected things...look at someone like Sandy, full of life and energy and love and then tragedy. Left to be mourned by friends and family. It's a scary thought how short this could all be.
I'm having surgery in 4 weeks and everytime in the past before a surgery, I get really depressed and nervous and certain that something bad will come of it. I throw everyone and myself down and it sucks. I'm going to do my best to be funk-free (except psychedelic funk--the song) because I have so much new and fun things to look forward to in 2006.

She was our friend even if we only knew her for a short time.
She will be missed.
